Wow its about time someone actually did a review on the “phone” after all
that’s what it is and eventually tablets will take over all the market for
apps and media leaving these little cell phones looking to once again be
“good phones” I have the EVO and its cool but as a phone it sucks. Wish it
had physical call send and end keys and a better phone UI.

@DuctTapeTale the HTC Surround has a speaker. This is the only model like
    that.

That’s so nice of you Aaron to show us! Big Thanks! I guess I am old
fashion, I still like the Nokia’s. Green handset (hardware) button, right
where your thumb is, boom, you get to call; or, hit the contact button, the
addressbook shows. WinMo6 is kind of like that too; but one thing that
really bugs me – after you dial, the keypad disappears… and when they
“para espanol oprime dos” me, I have to frantically scramble for the
keypad! Anyway, I use voice dial mostly, lazy me!

You missed something I find important. I recently switched from the iPhone
and found the android has much worse handling of call waiting and merging
calls. It might just be samsung’s touchwiz, but I found the iPhone to offer
    better call management.

@xFatalxHDx they are both pretty close. Currently I would say iPhone has
the edge with multitasking, cut and paste and such, but WP7 will have that
in the beginning of the year.

    right.

so, a compressed audio file (an mp3) reduces it’s size by throwing away
information on the high and low end. running that through an eq that
exaggerates the low and high end can compensate for this mildly. it’s not
as good as an uncompressed source through a flat eq, but it’s better than a
compressed file through a flat eq. but, when you put an uncompressed file
through an eq designed to compensate for compression loss, it’s going to
    sound absurd.

Hey Marq. Which brand do you prefer, Android or Apple? I know a lot about
these things that you talk about and I find it interesting how you propose
these ideas. I love your videos, I learn things sometimes :). I want to
hear your thoughts if you don’t mind.

Still listening to those cheap, convenient, half-ass, audio files called
mp3’s? Well beats allows you to continue to listen to those stubby mp3’s by
equalizing the files automatically where nearly all devices today already
have them built in. So whether you have an environmental/organic derived
brain disorder, that hinders your ability to process thought, or if you
have already wasted hundereds of dollars on Itunes this just might be the
    peice of shit for you.

My mac has great sound, as I installed software *like beats audio* to make
it run sound through an EQ. I understand why they are doing this. my laptop
has decent speakers, but the soundcard is awful as it fades in sound which
is annoying as you cannot turn it off, not even in control panel.

How did he do that old fashioned voiceover thing? I’m not talking about
making it look old, but like the old copper mic sound/who did he get to
    voice it over?

Beats works well on the htc one because they’re such tiny speakers. They’re
great for a phone, but still small, so they can use all the help they can
    get on the low end.
The moment you plug a decent pair of headphones in, though, turn that shit
    off.

OKAY EVERYONE! LETS EXPLAIN SOMETHING HERE!
First off, everyone has a different taste and opinion. But lets look at
some hard facts. Beats audio headphones have the same quality as a lot of
$50 – 90 headphones. Some people get tricked into buying these headphones
and think they sound god because of the boosted frequencies. Hence all the
fanboys that say they are worth the money. Beats audio is not the true
sound that artists and mixing/mastering/recording engineers want you to
hear.. with beats audio, they are messing with the entire mix of the song
and therefor complete change how the original was supposed to sound. Its
not a true accurate mix. Some people like that. Some people think it sounds
good. Some people dont give a crap of how the song was meant to be heard.
People are going to buy beats because they like that crappy sounding sound.
    Let them be.

Beats are not made for a flat accurate sound they’re made for a powerful
moving sound, so artists would rather listen to they,re music on beats not
create it on them that’s audio technika and sonys job, yes there overpriced
but it’s all about personal preference :)

Beats audio is more of a bass sound but the best headphones for me is the
audio-tech ath-m50x the quality of sound is waaaaaaayyyy better than beats,
you can try and compare the audio quality of the two.

In light of the talk about the Apple/Beats Audio acquisition, here’s an old
video to explain what it is.

If the software is just an equalizer profile, are Beats hardware products
better than Logitech, Bose or Sonos?

So…..do the V2 Studios suck too? Cause I bought those and now Idk if I
regret it or not all I wanted, was, bass, portability and for them to not
have the huge ass headphones plug that my bro’s Sennheisers do. They look
and sound great to me, and also the isolated sound was another thing I
wanted. I got them on sale so no full price was paid, legit from Beats
store shipped by Amazon (directly, not a third-party) and I’ve enjoyed them
but idk I can still sell em for $250 cause they’re brand new but idk if I
should I’ve only had em for a month. What do you guys think

oh man, you “i hate popular” fanboys never quit lol. “its just an equalizer
preset”. okay, well prove your point by downloading n7 player (or whatever
music player has the best equalizer) and making your phone produce the
    same, or better, audio

So Beats profile is pretty much a Loudness button!? You can also get an EQ
with your computer and boost the highs and lows.
I would like a black laptop over silver anyway! My EQ back in 2008 (I
didn’t get why I kept blowing the speakers) was a FISHER graphic EQ with
60Hz all the way up with analyzer and a Realistic amp with the bass turned
    all the way up!
