On S Note (note taking program on samsung), You can turn your notes into
either img or pdf files. From there you can send it to your computer and
have the files printed. As for reading e-books, I use my note daily to read
my e-textbooks. The text aren’t “fuzzy” at all, but I’m not sure what are
your expectation for “crisp” are. I have no problems with it and I think it
looks good. I’m not sure about Asus’s note taking, but the i find it easy
to take notes using the S-Pen on the note 10.1.

In Medical School, we no longer get paper notes and printing out 100s of
slides for each lecture is no joke and totally a big waste of paper (they
charge for printing out notes as well in the library, we only get free PDF
files). I have been looking to purchase one of these tablets for the past
few days, I am going crazy and can’t make a decision. So, at the end as
much as I prefer lecture notes, they are becoming obsolete (b/w notes
sucks). However, for college use a tablet isn’t necessary yet.

asus sucks, I bought one and it had problems, I returned it for another and
it still had problems! asus didnt want to connect to my Wi-Fi after 3 days
since I bought it, I went to my aunts house cause she also has wifi and it
didnt work, I went to the website and bunch of people were having the same
problem, I do not recommend asus

I take it neither of you are in the sciences 🙂 Handwriting on an active
digitizer is actually much more enjoyable to me. The glass is smooth and
lets the pen glide naturally under your hand. As for screen space – you
have an infinite amount of paper to scroll down and there are dozens of
options in this category. I would go for Windows 8 though, OneNote is by
far the best option. Make sure you buy one with an Active Digitizer
    (VivoTab 810 was my choice)

ive had the asus tf201 transformer prime and it was a good tablet untill it
started to fail on software i had to send it off three times to be fixed
and i understand that this problem was not the first time it happened. and
now ive sent it back to asus and refuse to pay for it, so this samsung
looks the best android tab to get at the moment. just hope there customer
service is good if any problems occur like the asus prime.

Loved the comparative review you’ve given. Thanks. Just what I needed to
know about either units before I purchase. Was well worth watching the
    entire length.

Would you go for the Note now? Or wait for the next offering from Samsung?

The other side of that is… You can buy a separate bluetooth Kb/case for
the Samsung. Then you have the keyboard AND the S Pen so you have more
choice. I would suggest that you should go to a store and play with both.

They are both nice devices and the form factors on both look and (probably)
feel great to handle. The choice nowadays would seem to be – do you want a
tablet for couch-browsing, commuter companion and a bit of gaming – OR –
something a bit more substantial. If the latter – then I would GO-FOR a
windows8 tablet as this is the new-kid-on-the-block for more serious use.
btw – whats with all the foul language and racial slurs – this is my
    favourite tech channel. getLost retards
