I wonder if everyone knows that this was made to compete with the iPhone 6.
    Both:- – 4.7″ screen
    – Similar form factor
    – Fingerprint scanner
    – Same button placement
    – Weird white straps on the frame (although, the whole back of the 6 has

Nice review! This phone has nice features. I like that it is a nice screen
size and that it is thin and light, however, for the unlocked price, it has
a crappy battery. I don’t think it offers a whole lot more than the
S5. Neat room by the way…oh, is that a bong I see in the background?
    Psyche! Just kidding.

    guys i have a choice between the G3 and the Alpha as a 2nd phone ( i NEED a
second phone) along side the iphone 6, which one would be a better choice
if my concerns are mainly battery life, feel in hand, minimal software lag
and a good display ( really dont know what to choose between the AMOLED or
the QHD). I dont take photos on my phones so the camera isnt an issue and i
want a decent media consumption device ( dont care about the speaker, i
always use earphones). I dont want a Spec based answer please :).

fuck whoever pushed samsung to use metal… i dont know how much using
metal will increase the price, but i always use a case on my phone to
protect it, and i dont see why not use the plastic. it doesnt look like
shit, is most likely lighter, and i’m guessing keeps cost down. its not the
igalaxy alpha, it doesnt need a metal construction to be considered a good

    Hmm I have a note 3 and it’s about 10 months old and it has a 3,200mAh
battery and 3gb ram and a 13 MP camera not to mention a full hd super
amoled display a bit weird if you ask me D:

The Alpha just doesn’t make any sense, just more of a quick cash grab by
Samsung. Why would anyone want to buy this instead of a Note 3?

If you really like the metal band around the phone there are plenty of them
on eBay you can put around your phone, there are also plenty of back covers
on eBay as well. Note 3 Is faster, has more ram, and has a higher
resolution, bigger battery and the list goes on.

The best part, you can get it for like $79 on contract.

I had the pleasure of playing with this phone at best buy last night and I
gotta say I was impressed immediately after I grabbed it. The Metal frame
makes a huge difference in how it feels in the hand. Definitely the best
phone Samsung has ever built. If my Moto X wasn’t so awesome, and the alpha
was available on T-Mobile I would have def considered getting it.

I work at a multi carrier cell phone place up here in the great white north
and while the Alpha is a great phone currently exclusive to Bell, it’s
trying to be a Z3 compact… but it makes small sacrifices in camera, lack
of microSD, and loses out on the battery. It’s not bad but it’s not great
either. Sucks that we don’t even have the Z3 Compact here though. I’d have
to get it off contract unlocked from a gray market 3rd party electronics
website or eBay since Sony doesn’t ship to Canada. Or maybe it’s time for a
    trip to Buffalo…
